A real antique, this 18th century rustic wainscot chair has a carved shaped top rail above a panelled back, with turned front legs, square section back legs and carved arm supports. These early chairs were named after the fine grade of oak used for wainscot panelling at the time. This is a great piece, with a comfortable wide seat, which will look wonderful in a period home, or as a statement piece in a hall or entrance space.
Dating to the 18th century, this is made of oak and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has the wear and characteristics expected for a rustic chair which has been in use for over 200 years.
