A lovely example of the traditional high back Windsor chair, this has wide armrests with tactile ends and a carved pierced splat. Unusually, the lower spindles are turned and match the turned legs, which are joined with an H stretcher arrangement. A great chair for the country house aesthetic, this will look wonderful in any room, perhaps being a nice addition to a large kitchen, a snug or by a fireside.
Dating to the 19th century, this is made of yew and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has the wear and marks commensurate with long use.
