A useful mahogany revolving bookcase which has been recently restored and refinished, this piece stands on a four footed pedestal base with brass castors, so it is easy to move around. The top of the three tiers has shaped vertical spindle separators in the four sections, while the lower tiers have plain dowels, and the vertical external slats have decorative grooves, brass washers and screw heads. Graduated in height, the tiers will fit books no taller than 20.5 cm at the top, 25 cm in the middle and 27 cm at the bottom, the depth of each shelf section being 16 cm. A great piece for any living area, this has been designed as a bookcase, but might also be used as display shelving for small collectables or decorative pieces.
Dating to the early 20th century, this is made of mahogany and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has been recently restored and refinished. The revolving mechanism works well and the castors are good.
