A wonderful framed lithograph on paper, this fabulous illustration of one of Bernard Leach’s iconic pots was printed at the Curwen Studio in 1974. Signed in pencil by Leach, it is from a limited edition entitled ‘Black Pot’ and is 63/100. Bernard Leach (1887 – 1979) co-founded the Leach Pottery in St. Ives, Cornwall, in 1920 and it went on to be among the most respected and influential potteries in the world, with a lithograph from this edition to be found in the Tate Gallery collection. This piece has a gallery label on the back for the Goldmark Gallery in Rutland. It will make a great statement piece for any mid century modern interior.
