Black Forest Group of Chamoise. This late 19th-century Black Forest carving features a group of three chamoise, meticulously hand-carved from dark, rich wood. The largest of the trio, standing proudly at the center, captivates with its lifelike presence, enhanced by its striking glass eyes. Each creature is intricately detailed, capturing the spirit of the Black Forest’s craftsmanship and the era’s dedication to woodcarving artistry. The piece is in good condition with only age related signs of wear. There is a little damage to one of the horns of the central animal and a small stress fracture to the back.
