19th Century Bloor Derby Ink Stand


A fine 19th century Bloor Derby porcelain inkstand. This wonderful piece comes from the period in which Robert Bloor had stewardship of the Derby factory and produced some of its finest work. A royal blue background is the canvas for some exquisite gold decoration . Stylised leaves and fauna cover the wafer box, taper stick,inkwell and pen tray with a diamond design applied to the main body . The Bloor mark can be seen on the base. A superb piece that would bring elegance to any study or desk. Circa 1820.
