A delicate 19th century Sitzendorf figure of a young lady. This lovely little figure is from the famous Sitzendorf factory , Germany. This factory was well known for producing work imitating the likes of Meissen etc.Opening its doors in 1850 with production ending as late as 2012. The particular piece depicts the young lady with her head down holding a flower in one hand and a wheat sheaf in the other. Nicely decorated with a lovely golden paint for the wheat and green ,blue and red flowers decorating the lady’s dress. There is a small firing crack at the base of her neck otherwise this piece is in very good condition. The Sitzendorf cipher ( post 1918) can be found on the base of the piece. This is a nice example of Sitzendorf.
