A pair of very rare Royal Worcester vases. These two beautiful examples from Royal Worcester have a kingfisher exquisitely hand painted to each one. Each bird is perched atop a branch which is highly decorated in gold and turquoise. The background to each scene has some fine gilding work which really brings out the detail of the birds. The vases have tapered tops with an ornate and gilded handle fixed to each side. The Worcester mark can be seen under each vase for 1888 . The vases were painted by Charles Henry Clifford Baldwyn (1843-1913).
