A very large 19th century inkstand. This fabulous example is made from brass with the body of the ink pot made from moulded glass. The stand is decorated with beading and floral roundels with a large elegant section for the pot to stand in.The glass pot is formed into a beautiful swirling pattern which is topped by a brass lid on which sits an imposing well cast eagle. The item is French and is from the mid to late 19th century. This is the largest inkstand and pot we have at the moment and would make a great addition to any office or study.
