Description

Continental Tea Caddy. This nice early 20th century caddy is heavily inspired by the Japanese culture .The body has brightly coloured birds and insects which frame an attractive Japanese lady in her garden. The vibrancy of the piece draws one into the scene and gives the impression of being there with her. The lid is heavily decorated with further garden insects. The piece is in overall good condition although there has been some restoration to the lid. 20th century, Ceramic, European.
