A mid-century Ercol Windsor light elm footstool, model number 341, which was designed to use with some armchair patterns to make a chaise longue. It works particularly well with models 203, 252 and 501, but can be used with a variety of chairs. It has a straight sided frame with curved, convex ends and rubber webbing to support a cushion and is comfortable in its own right as a stool.
The cushion pad seems to be in good condition, the current cover, in light cream with a pink flower pattern, is over a brown patterned velour cover. The stool frame is in good age-related condition, as is the rubber support webbing, the latter having a little fray at one end of one strap only, but still in serviceable condition.
This model was in production between 1954 and 1985. The frame is light elm with rubber webbing, with a foam cushion. Originates from the UK.
