Fabulous 19th century studded leather fire bucket in original condition, with handle. It has an applied metal collar with rivets. Further riveting applied to the vertical join and around the bottom. Thick leather hide which has a lovely colour, hardened with age and features a painted design that has some wear (as shown).
This bucket may originally have been placed near to a fireplace to douse flames with sand or water, but is beautifully solid and could be used in current times to hold miscellaneous living room items.
In very good condition overall, for the age. With a plethora of characteristic age related wear (as shown).
Originates from the UK. Dates to the 19th Century.
