Quality piece of industrial design, this good size table will suit a loft style interior, but will look great in any setting with its clean, simple lines and light oak top. The oak is from an early table, dating to circa 1900, which has been added to the sturdy 20th century iron frame at a later date. The metal has been painted dark red and the central floor level stretcher has a cast flower decorating each end. At more than 2 metres in length, this will comfortably seat 6, although the metal base design probably mitigates against accommodating 8. It will make a great statement piece as a dining table, work well in a country kitchen, or make a stylish work table for crafts.
Dating to circa 1900 for the table top and 20th century for the base, this is made of oak and cast iron, and originates from England.
In good age related condition, the table top is smooth and clean and the base has the colour and appearance of an industrial piece.
