Description

This lovely Chippendale period tea caddy comes from an Irish 18th century country house, Mallow Castle. Beautifully made and with an inlaid pattern bordering each section this is a fine example of its type. Upon opening a superb shell pattern can be found on the lid with an unusual divide inside the main body. The piece is in good condition with some age related ware and some historic restoration near the hinges. 1760, wood, Irish.
