A bright and colourful piece, this lithograh with screenprint in colour is by John Hoyland RA (1934-2011) and is titled ‘Names and Voices’. Framed and glazed, it is signed and dated ’96 in pencil and numbered 75/300. The print was originally commissioned by Martin Krajewski, Managing Director of John Rowe Associates, to celebrate Christmas 1996. The print itself has the blind stamp for Advanced Graphics, London in the bottom right corner and is presented in a black metal frame.
John Hoyland is known for his colourful, non-representational pieces. He studied at the Royal Academy and had his first solo show in 1967 at Whitechapel Gallery. He represented Great Britain with Anthony Caro at the 1969 São Paulo Biennale in Brazil and had retrospectives at Tate St Ives, the Serpentine Gallery, and the Royal Academy of Arts. Elected to the Royal Academy in 1991, he was appointed Professor of Painting at the Royal Academy Schools in 1999 and died in 2011.

The piece is in good condition. There are some small unobtrusive watermarks at the edges of the backing card, near the edge of the frame, but away from the paper of the print itself.
