A fabulous bank of drawers which will suit all kinds of household or business uses, such as storing craft materials, small tools, or that myriad of ‘stuff’ that accumulates over time, these are early 20th century with a limed oak finish, a ply back and a plinth base. There are 32 drawers in total, all of equal size, and they bear internal ink stains suggesting that the piece was originally used for business purposes. With storage being at the forefront of furniture requirements in most households, these will find a useful space in any home and the limed finish allows them to blend with a modern interior.
Dating to circa 1910, these are made of limed oak and originate from England.
In good age related condition, there are a few knocks to the edges from a century of use, these being unobtrusive and waxed smooth, giving the piece the character of its age. The insides of the drawers bear some old ink stains. Most of the drawer knobs are similar, although the bottom six are different to the others and the top right is very slightly so. No key is available, although most (not all) of the locks are present.
