A highly unusual and very good looking chair on four tapering straight legs with stretchers running from front to back. Angled sides with shaped arm supports extending down to the stretchers. Rounded back missing upholstered panel and removable horse hair filled upholstered seat lifting reveal a bergere seat under with some damage to centre of panel. Brass fittings to side suggest this chair may have had a naval origin. Currently in as found condition, in need of complete re-upholstering but structurally sound.
