A George III oak gateleg table. This pleasantly simple oak table stands on six straight legs, two of which pivot in order to fold out to support the two drop leaves. In its elevated, active position it forms a useful kitchen dining table which can comfortably seat six. In its descended sedentary position with leaves down, it forms a narrow side table which frees up valuable space when not in use and could function as a side table. Drawers to one end and dummy / false drawer to the other, both with original brass swan neck handles. Joint on top opened very slightly and some signs of use. However, remarkably good untouched condition and colour for age.
