A great piece of storage, this vintage wire locker unit is just the right size for storing shoes, where the air circulation will be beneficial, or it can be used for a wide variety of items where it is useful to be able to easily see the contents, such as craft supplies. It has a central hasp for fitting a padlock, each of the doors is locked by means of a rod fitting into the fittings at top and bottom, and it stands on attractive tri-strut pointed feet. It will work well into a utility room or storage area, but will also look good in a loft style living interior.
Dating to the 20th century, this is made of steel and originates from England.
In good age related condition, the right side locking rod is slightly stiff to operate, but fits and will benefit from some use. There is very slight corrosion visible in places, from use over time, but this is minor and adds to the character of the piece.
