An opulent 19th century gilt wood console table with a removable grey marble top, this will provide a good display surface set against a wall in an entrance hall or reception room and is ideal for a floral display, perhaps in a period hotel. The gilt wood has the desirable aged patina for a piece of this date.
Dating to circa 1860, this is made of gilt wood and marble, and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has some small dents to the stucco decoration in places, with some particular damage to the feet at the front. The marble is in good condition, with a couple of very minor nibbles to the edge which are not obtrusive. Unstable as a standalone piece, this is designed to stand against a wall for support.
