This document sets out the legal terms and conditions by which we sell to you. Please read carefully and make sure you understand them before buying. When making a purchase with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. We amend these terms from time to time – these terms were most recently updated on 23rd November 2023.


 Prices: Newark Antiques & Interiors Ltd sells on behalf of dealers trading from its premises (“Dealers”) and operates at all times as agent for those dealers when offering goods for sale, accepting orders and arranging delivery on their behalf. Prices are set out on individual items and are determined by our Dealers. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time. 

 Payment: Payment must be made at the time of purchase and can only be made in pounds sterling. We accept payment by most major debit and credit cards. The card must be registered to the delivery address. Payment can be made over the phone using debit or credit card or by Bank Transfer. 

 Delivery: Your quoted price does not automatically include delivery or shipping unless specified. You are welcome to make arrangements for collection of your item from our premises directly on a date agreed between us. Please note that when arranging your own delivery we can accept no responsibility for orders damaged in transit once they have left out premises. We are happy to provide quotations for UK carriage upon confirmation of your delivery address. 

 Uncollected Items: Items uncollected after 3 months without prior arrangement will be subject to storage charges. We reserve the right to re-sell items if paid for and uncollected 6 months after purchase. 60 days written notice will be given. Sale proceeds, less any costs incurred, will be forfeited unless collected by the buyer within 2 years of the original purchase dates. 

Warranty & Liability: We warrant that our items comply with their general description and the narrative on our quotations and invoices. To our knowledge, your order will be free from material defect at the time of delivery unless detailed in the item description. Our warranty does not apply to: 

1. Any defect in the product arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, abnormal storage or working conditions, accident, negligence by you or by any third party. 

2. Failure to use the item for its intended purpose. Any alteration, repair, or modification carried out by you or by a third party; or any specification provided by you.  


Returns: If you are unhappy with a purchase for any reason, it can be returned to us within 14 days of receipt (with original packaging if applicable). Providing that the item is returned to us in its original condition, we will exchange, replace, refund, or credit the cost against a future purchase. Return costs must be borne by the customer – any cost of delivery paid directly to us cannot be refunded.  You must contact us within 14 days of receipt of your item, stating that you intend to return your purchase. Once received and provided the item is in saleable condition we will discuss with you whether you wish us to exchange, replace, refund, or credit the cost against a future purchase.
