A charming oak child’s high chair which converts to a lower chair with a small side table, this is beautifully crafted and has a quality and style suggestive of those originating from the Mendlesham area of Suffolk, known for the work of the Day family of chair makers. Definitely one for the collector of children’s chairs.
– Top chair is fixed to the table with a brass screw mechanism through the chair stretcher.
– Original condition and great colour.
– Rush seat, which lifts out.
– Removable front safety bar, with notches at the ends which hold it snugly.
– Matching stretcher arrangement for chair and table sections.
– Nicely turned arm supports, with grooved and shaped arms.
– Lovely carved top rail and back support with bobbin decoration.
In nice original condition. The rush seat is tightly woven without breaks.
