A handsome chest of drawers, known as a Scotch chest for its larger proportions, this 19th century mahogany piece will provide an abundance of storage. It will look great in a larger bedroom, or even on a good sized landing where it might be used for linen.
– Bow fronted, with 2 over 3 graduated size drawers.
– Carved pilaster style decoration.
– Drawer fronts with cockbeading and matched quartered flame mahogany veneer.
– Wooden knobs.
– Bun feet.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are some pieces of veneer missing at the sides of the front in various places, although this is not obtrusive and does little to detract from the overall appearance. Some minor checking at the sides is always to be expected in a piece of this age.
