A wonderful piece of vernacular Welsh oak furniture, this two piece dresser base with crockery rack dates to the 18th century and will look great in a Georgian house country kitchen.
– 3 plate shelves and dresser base with ridges to hold plates in place.
– 3 drawers in base, with cockbeaded fronts and brass knobs.
– Potboard below, with turned supports.
– Shaped and cockbeaded apron below drawers.
– Cup hooks along top shelf at the front, with big hooks at the cornice top for larger items such as mugs or tankards.
– Front edge of bottom shelf has characterful wear.
– Beautiful patina and colour to the oak.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is a slight slope on the shelves, with approximately a 1 cm dip between the right side and the middle.
