A lovely piece of late 18th century mahogany furniture, this chest on chest separates into 2 sections for easy transport and continues to provide ample functional storage 250 years after it was first made. It will look great in a large Georgian house bedroom, or work well on a landing for linen storage.
– Top section with 3 over 3 graduated drawers.
– 3 graduated drawers in bottom section.
– Cockbeaded drawer fronts.
– Canted corners at the top, with reeded decoration.
– Dentil frieze below top cornice.
– Lovely colour and patina.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are some cracks in the back boards, but the piece is otherwise sturdy and in good condition for a chest of this age. No key is available.
