A fabulous piece of French mid 19th century toleware, this has been painted to resemble wood and has a marble top with a brass galleried shelf. It will make a functional and attractive storage piece, with display surface, for almost any room in a French style interior, but will look stunning in a boudoir.

– Fixed marble top with moulded edge.
– Decoratively pierced brass galleried shelf above.
– Cupboard painted with landscape scenes on the door and brightly coloured birds on the sides.
– Drawer and gallery shelf painted with flowers and leaves, the shelf more distressed.
– Cupboard door with turn latch knob.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The paint on the shelf is distressed such that the flowers are worn away in places. There are some orange iron stain spots on the marble top, which is unchipped.
