An ornate and highly decorated early piece of Georgian silver. A large finial sits atop the pierced lid with hallmarks along the rim. The baluster body has some wonderful flower and scroll decoration along with a large clean cartouche and bead work in between. The body sits on a substantial foot. There are further hallmarks to the base. The piece was assayed in London 1752 and made by Jabez Daniell. Weight 133 grams.
