A lovely 19th century hardwood Scottish peat bucket with a brass liner, this will make a great kindling container for the fireside, or perhaps a good planter.
– Brass half liner, which goes part way down the bucket.
– Attractive horizontally banded exterior, with ebonised stripes and base.
– Planked interior.
– Brass handle.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are signs of historical woodworm on the external surface and the rim of the brass liner has a small break.
