A handsome Army & Navy brass bound mahogany campaign chest in 2 sections, this is a lovely quality piece of furniture which dates to around the turn of the 20th century. It is a great piece of storage, particularly for an interior with a masculine feel and will look great in a bedroom or a library.
– Ivorine label for “Army & Navy CSL Makers” on the top right drawer lock edge.
– 2 sections for campaign manoeuvrability.
– Bun feet.
– 2 over 3 drawers.
– Inset brass handles, with brass bindings and inlaid keyholes.
In good sturdy condition showing wear consistent with age and the use to which a military campaign chest was subject. There are some small indentation patterns on the top and a noticeable chip to the right side at the top of the bottom section, where the connecting dowel has been knocked out. No key is available, although the locks are present.
