A true antique and in clean condition, this handsome 17th century oak coffer is nearly 400 years old and continues to be a valuable storage option for blankets, linens or winter clothes.
– Top made of a single heavy piece of oak, cleated with end pieces to prevent warping.
– Iron hinges.
– Internal candle box.
– Coffered front panelling.
– Carved frieze just below lid.
– Fragment of old writing on paper stuck to the inside of the front panel.
