A lovely early 19th century example of the ever popular Windsor chair, this is yew with an elm seat and will look great by the fireside in a country cottage, or in a farmhouse kitchen.
– Pierced splat above and below central arm bow.
– Turned legs and arm supports.
– Saddle seat.
– Crinoline stretcher.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is a historic repair towards the lower part of the splat using an iron strap to hold the wood tight.
