This fabulous little oak chest of drawers dates to around 1740 and has a rare, original brushing slide. Painted a dusky blue and waxed, it has an appeal for the modern home and is ideal for a smaller bedroom space, where the slide allows it to be used as a laptop desk.

– Dark wood handles, added around the early 19th century.

– Brass inlaid keyhole surrounds.
– Rare brushing slide, with original oak, unpainted finish.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The painted finish is slightly distressed, with a smooth waxed surface. The locks are present, but no key is available.
