A wonderful 19th century pine bench with original paint, this has a box seat which pulls out so that it could be used as a day bed, making it an unusual and flexible piece of furniture. At just under 2 metres in length, it will look great as a window seat in a large bay, with the painted rustic effect making it ideal for a country or farmhouse home.
– Seat pulls and lifts off to reveal storage and bed options.
– Seat painted with a rattan effect.
– Overall painted with a scumbled effect, with a generally reddish brown tone.
– 4 legs at the front, the central 2 pulling forward to support box.
– Sturdy, solid piece of furniture.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use, including some unobtrusive marks and scuffs. There are some signs of historical woodworm which is no longer live.
