A handsome storage piece, this campaign style chest of drawers fits together as two pieces, originally allowing it to be easily dismantled and carried between locations. A solid and sturdy item of furniture, this is marked as having been associated with the Royal Navy.
– Stamped “R Navy” and “J Phelps” in the inside edge of the top left drawer.
– 2 over 3 graduated size drawers, the top section holding 5 and the bottom 2.
– Brass carrying handles on both sides of both sections.
– Cockbeaded drawer fronts.
– Bracket feet.
In good condition, with the marks and wear expected on the top for a piece which has been in use. It has a nice finish and good patina. No key is available, but the locks are present.
