A beautiful oak lambing chair from the first half of the 19th century, this has a large, comfortable seat and will look fabulous in a country farmhouse kitchen, or by a fireside in a cottage. These rustic, high backed armchairs with wings originate from the sheep farming regions of Northern England and are said to have been designed for shepherds to rest in while the lambing was underway, with the drawer underneath for warming newborn lambs.
