Description

A rare little vesta case by Cornelius Desormeaux Sr & James Francis Hollings Shepard. The piece is decorated with some fine repousse work depicting a Hound chasing a Fox with a countryside scene in the background. The hinge to the lid is good and has a nice clean snap to it. The striker can be found to the top of the lid. The hallmarks can be found both to the body of the piece and the lid. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1896.

There is a small mark on the back of the piece and the hallmarks are a little rubbed otherwise the piece is in very nice condition for its age.
