A novelty silver box in the form of a cello. Finely made with all the elements of the instrument, this is a much sort after collector’s piece. The front is decorated with a scene from a tavern, a musician is in full swing. There is a female figure directly under the bridge. She is holding a clean cartouche. To the back of the piece can be found the identical tavern scene. A clip holds the hinged lid firm and can be undone to gain access to the box. The hallmarks for London 1979 can be found on the neck. This piece would also make a wonderful gift for any musician. Weight 62 grams.
