A rare piece of Chinese culture. The attendant still has elements of its original polychrome pigments and although there is some wear to the facial features, overall the piece is in remarkable condition, given its age. Surviving Attendants are often from dry regions of the Silk Road or high-status imperial tombs. The piece is from the Tang Dynasty (618-1907 CE).
