Great to have three matching when designing an interior, these are early 20th century French baskets, originally made to carry on the back or as a pannier. They are useful in the modern home to provide general storage for a number of items, such as logs or kindling for the fireside, or boots, sticks and umbrellas in a mud or utility room.
– Green painted “F” on the front of all three.
– Split wood weave, with a loop on one side for a strap so that they could be used as carrying hods on the back or as panniers.
– Side handles.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
