A fabulously carved walnut sofa dating to the mid 19th century, this Victorian settee will look wonderful as a statement piece in any room, perhaps suiting a large bedroom, boudoir, or reception area. It has a comfortable, low seat.
– Wonderful carving throughout.
– Each arm supported by 6 carved and turned uprights.
– Castors on carved feet.
– Low seat.
– Blue, cream and beige tones to the recently replaced upholstery fabric, which has a thick, hard-wearing wool texture.
– Horsehair padded arms.
– Sprung seat, with a foam cushion above.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is an unobtrusive split extending across the back, just above the centre line, which is not obvious and which does not affect structural integrity. The upholstery fabric has been recently replaced.
