Description

A stunning French glass and brass showcase casket with 2 serpentine doors & lift up lid to lower showcase. Superstructure having 2 further doors & shelves within. Each level has a mirrored floor. To the top are two acorn finials and the entire piece is decorated with some delicate beading. The body sits on four large feet. This is one of the best examples of this type we have seen. Attributed to Paris Exhibition 1878.
