A good apothecary jar turned in fruitwood, possibly apple or pear, having particularly pale golden colour. Broad flat spreading foot with a straight sided base rising to short stem, having single disc knop, flat underside to bowl having thick moulded edge to base rising to slightly flared bowl sides and heavy moulded detail to rim lid. Fine point at finial. C 1800.
