A fabulous piece of 19th Century folk art and one for the horse collectors, this is likely to be Scandinavian in origin and still has the original paint. Originally a toy for the nursery, this is now a wonderful decorative piece for any home.
– Leather saddle and trappings.
– Iron stirrup, although this is present on only one side.
– Horsehair tail.
– Good, sturdy weight, with a solid, cylindrical wooden body.
– Black painted mane and eyes, with brown body.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. Only one stirrup is present, with the leather strap on the other side broken towards the saddle.
