Description

A charming wooden putto, this 18th century Italian cherubic figure may originate from Venice. He has been nicely carved and will be a beautiful decorative piece for display.

– He holds his fingers curled in a position indicating that he was probably holding a musical instrument, likely a violin, at some point.
– Nicely carved fabric folds hide his modesty.
– Fine detail, down to his fingernails.
– Lovely patina.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
