A handsome and heavily carved oak armchair, this has a wide, comfortable sprung seat and will make a good entrance hall piece.
– The crest carved into the back shows three pikes or lucies, one with a horse above, with a fleur-de-lys and a stag at the top.
– The motto beneath is “Labour Overcomes All Things”.
– A shell or flower petal design is carved at the top.
– Stands on large brass castors.
– Brown leather upholstered sprung seat, with leather also covering the back.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The leather is without tears. There is some looseness in the joint where the top shell carved section joins the lower back.
