An attractive early pair of decorative panels originating from Italy, these are interesting and scarce pieces. They date to the late 17th century and depict young boys in a landscape with buildings in the background. They will look lovely in a smaller room, perhaps a library or snug.
– Good original condition.
– Ebonised wooden frames.
– Old hessian loops nailed to the backs at the top for hanging.
In sturdy original condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is some damage to one of the frames at the bottom right corner, with some scratches and old repair inserts visible on the scenes themselves.
